The world we live in feels noisy, we have constant buzzing everywhere you look. In some cases it is good to have noise for distraction or entertainment. However, I believe that there is a time for everything and sometimes it is good to be quiet.
Sometimes, when it is quiet you can think more clearer and listen to your internal monologue. You can listen to the thoughts more clearer and given them more order.
During times of quiet it is a great opportunity of productivity. With no distractions around allows you to focus and concentration on the job in hand. It means a better quality as you main goal is the one thing rather than having lots of noise in your head.
Being quiet when listening to others is really helpful giving the speaker a chance to express themselves and feeling that they are being heard can make all the difference to the outcome at the end. Even if they have no solutions giving the person that time to communicate without interruptions makes them feel as if something positive has been done and that they are heard.
It is good to be just in the moment and being mindful of everything around you, taking it all and accepting what life has to offer and taking that time to disconnect.
"The quieter you become the more you can hear.” — Baba
When there is less distractions it gives you the chance to take your environment in. That is why meditation is good because it slows everything right down and allowing you to relax. It is important to focus on the present and slow down. It can help your health when physically or mentally because your are less tense and more in control. There is less noise which equates to less thinking due to reduction in the information that gets into your brain.
Even if you do five minutes a day of quite time it can give you the change to slow down and enjoy that moment.

Is my moment now?
Does all the other stuff matter?
What counts towards my path?
No one can tell me,
The door is open for me
To decide where I walk.
Who am I?
I don’t know who I am anymore,
I have lost sight,
Of the person who I once was.
How do I tell you,
The thoughts that take my control,
I feel scared right now.
In this day and age it is hard not to compare yourself. I for one am guilty of this, it is so easy to assume that one has it all whilst you feel like you are floating above water.
We can forget that what you see with your eyes on the surface may not be the actually truth. How can possible know everything about someone when we only see a glimpse.
That is why it is important to look for content within and not on unrealistic ideas that assume make other happy.
Sometimes you can fall under the trap of negativity, where all you see is the bad stuff. That is why it is important to take stock of what is good in life. No one has it all but I am a true believer in that there is one good thing in life even if it is small.
Today I felt sad as if my life is going anyway. I could continue down the negative spiral but won’t get me anywhere, it will just make me feel ten times worse.
The things I have succeeded in is getting up and making sure my children are well and happy. I have read a book and even writing this post is productive.
I think it is important to accept the things you do have and not dwell. Being content with yourself so a hard thing to achieve when there are so many messages everywhere telling us to be like this or that. You feel like you are questioning everything.
I think the main that I have learnt in my adult life is meaning and the value you put on something. I think that is the powerful thing. If you let go of connecting to something you would be amazed at how little impact it has on you.
I think the thing that is key in being content is questioning everything and working out what it means to you. Deep down is it really important to you?

I thought today I would share with you my five top lessons that I have learnt so far in my life.
My first lesson is that there is more good then there is bad in the world. Sometimes we can all get sucked into the doom and the gloom of bad news that we can forget that there is so many good people in this world. I think the below quote is spot on and something that we should all try and remember.
My second lesson I have learnt is that sods law will always kick your ass every single time. When you think you know what will happen in life then you can guarantee that something will pull that your feet at that moment in time. I suppose a classic example would be where is that bus when I am running late when normally it is bang on time!
As an anxiety suffer you believe every thought and feeling at that given time. You feel like you are stuck and things will never change. So my third lesson would be that the feeling will pass. I try to focus on this thought when hard times hit and life seems scary!
My four lesson would be that you can take it or leave it when it comes to your thoughts because at the end of the day they is just all they are and only come from YOUR brain. No one stuck have that choice to whether you act upon them or not.
The final lesson that I have learnt in my life is and one of the best cures for stressful situations is to have a cup of tea and toast as it is the best way to solves problems. So, if I need time to think this is the one stop solution to give me a chance to think clearer.
What lessons have you learnt in life? What do you think of mine?

My word of the week is:
I haven’t done a word of the week linky for awhile because I just wanted a break from all the linkies. But truth be told I miss linking up my blog to linkies because it pushes me to engage socially, which is always a positive for an autistic person like myself.
Also, I have learnt it is my blog and I can chose whether I want to participate or not, I don’t always have to do it every week. I have learnt not so strict and irritable.
I am not going lie it helps to link up with my stats and I love numbers so always a bonus for me.
Also, I struggle as I tend to get so overwhelmed with blogs that joining in with linkups helps me learn about new content, good or bad, it is food for thought. It can provide inspiration or give different avenues for blog ideas.
Sometimes, you just got to try and see what works for you, I never stop learning and that is one major thing I love about being a blogger.
