Five activities that won’t break the bank

Hey readers,

Today I want to talk about things to do when you’re skint because that’s my situation right now.  I thought this may be of use to parents who struggle to find cheap entertainment when you have lack of funds.

1. The first thing that I would suggest is the most obvious thing and that is just to take a ball, frisbee or anything that is suitable for the park It can be just the local Apr down the road  but it is still fun. Not to mention getting some fresh air and a break from the four walls of your home.

2. If you are bored, skint and at home then pick film. You can even find a ton of free films on YouTube. Such a easy activity  to kill a couple of hours especially when it is rainy or to stop the never ending.

3. If you are desperately needing to escape the Doom of mummy prison then I suggest get your wellies on and go out. Even if it is to just simply collect leaves, sticks and stones. All I can be fantastic material to paint with at home. It is free and a real winner in my home.

4. I love my library, it is such a fabulous service within the community. It is  free to loan books and children’s audio books. There is free activities such as rhythmtime and story time – in the latter they provide  free activities with all their materials such as paper and colouring in pens. It  is a great day out for everyone and you’re learning, what more could you want?!

5. A classic activity to do when you’re skint is to get the board games out or jigsaws. You will be amazed at how much it can kill an hour or two and it us great bonding time. plus, it helps teach children patience and to share!

Is there anything I have not mentioned that is a real winner in your home that doesn’t break the bank?
Hope you have found this helpful and whatever you do I hope you have lots of fun.

2) Have a bath can take that half an hour off and you feel suitable refreshed.

3) Do some colouring, in a colour in book. It can really help you to concentrate on the task and use your creative skills.

3

4) Binge watch some YouTube video – as we all know there is a whole host of choice on a wide selection of topics to enjoy on the old YouTube. Though be warned can be a bit of a vortex and you may end up watching too many videos of kittens are robotic hoovers.

4

5) Bake something and get rewarded after. It can be something really  simple such as making cornflake cakes but you will feel you have achieved something with your time. Or alternatively, try a new recipe and enhance your skills at cooking.

5

6) Sort out some clutter out in your home that needs taking care off and the good thing is you feel really productive after. 7) Of course I could not miss out on the old blog and writing up a blog post is a great way to use your time. You can write as much or little as you want. You could alternatively read other blogs to get inspiration from them.

7

8) There is something very therapeutic about painting your nails and taking your time to do a good job can make you feel so much better when making simple changes to your appearance.

9) I be honest, I am a bit old school and when I have time I love nothing better then completing a jigsaw puzzle. A positive thing about doing jigsaw puzzles is that it enhances your problem solving skills with trying to solve where the pieces go.

9

10) If all else fails and your stuck for ideas then do some exercise. You don’t even have to pay for silly dvds that cost an arm or a leg, you can find free material from  YouTube or Pinterest for instance!

February faviourite things

Hey Readers,

I am going share the goodies I have been loving this month. Check it out below 🙂

  1. I have really sensitive eyes and have tried a few wet wipes from cheap shops but love these ones from Poundland and great for a quick way to remove your make up costs £1.00.

2) How lovely is this gold spotty box to brighten up a room. From the brilliant Home bargains for £2.49 and as you can see I have already used the space up to store my nailpolishes.

3) How lovely is this fox cushion. I just love the quirky design with the geometric pattern. I got it off AliExpress online for £3.89.

5) Finally, I am in love with Khoal eyeliner from Primark. I have tried a few but this is a firm favourite and to top it all costs a grand total of a pound.

My top seven frugal tips

Hey readers,

I love a good bargain and trying to save money when I can. So, I thought I would share some of the things that really help reduce the cost of my spending.

1.Plan, set a Budget for a X amount and stick to it.

2. Go to the supermarket near closing time to get reduced items.

3.You can put your recipts to a good use by download Shopprize from an app store and scan your recipts. You then can over time exchange the coins into amazon vouchers. It doesn’t take that long either. Sadly the app only works on Android at the moment.

4.Wait until after an occasion to get knocked down prices, I.e. Halloween/Christmas etc.

5.Use mysupermarket.com as it is brilliant for comparing products and finding the cheapest place to go.

6.Take advantage of the advantage card. Tesco and Boots are my favourite and they are nice little earners.

7. Save 10p every say in a jar, it soon adds up after awhile.

How to tell if you are a hipster

Hey readers,

Today I saw a colouring in book in Poundland and it all based on this term Hipster. I have heard this termnology quite a few times over the past couple of years, so I thought I would come up with some key chartersitics in what makes a hipster.

I just thought I would start of with the definition of what a Hipster is: It is someone who follows the trends/fashion that is outside the cultural mainstream.

Please note it is just a bit fun, nothing serious.

1) Firstly, I think one of the main identify features is the beard, not the dirty biker type but you know the clean and grommed variety. It is looks pristine and full of beard oil.

2) They hate anything associated with mainstream, for instance they love films that are underground and unheard of.

3) To be a true hipster they don’t like any well named bands such as Beyonce but go for the more unusal tastes. They love bands such as Death Cab for Cutie or Radiohead or Archaide of Fire.

4) They hang out in artys fartsy coffee shops and post their arty coffee on Instagram. Or unusal places that no other person has heard avout.

5) They are likely to be riding a bicycle as a mode of transport and look down on people who drive a car.

6) Old technology is popular for the hipster and when they are walking about outside they flash the old walkman.

6) Massive fan of ‘vintage’ and get all there clobber from flea markets or raided from there parents and grandparents wardrope.

7) They wear spectcles not because of poor vision but for a fashion statement.

8) Tend to be a vegan and more then likely have a speicfic instagrem account for all their foodie pictures which happen to be taken from there old style camera such as a Fuji X.

9) A hipster is found to have on their YouTube channel videos full of live music.

10) They wear lumbar jackets, skinny jeans and converse…you know what am talking about, this is a common uniform for a hipster.
