Why running rocks!

Hey readers,

Recently I returned to running and got hit again by the running bug, I just love and let me tell you why!

Because running gets you out of the house and you get some fresh air.

If your like me, I get quite frustrated with my inadequacies as a person and since I have started running have found running really great to just burn off them feelings.

It is good for you physical health, I only do running three times a week but I still find it beneficial in helping me ton up my legs and help strength my arms (as I am on medication where one of the side effects causes me great deal of physical pain).

You feel like you have achieved something positive and can make you feel better for it.

It is really fantastic to help you sleep if you do in the evening or alternatively, if you do it first thing in the morning it can set you up for the day.

You build up stamina which is always handy if you have young children and they want you to run after them in the park.

I had a break from running for a few weeks and definitely missed it. Once I stsrted again with running I found it made me much happier in myself and like I achieved something.

Obiviously, a bonus reason for running is it burns of calerioes which who can not deny is wonderful.

If you have children it sets an example regarding doing exercise and a positive message of seeing it occur.

You never fully appreciate a shower until after a hot sweaty run.

It is free, you can do it practically any where and at any time if you wish.

There are so many free apps like c25k to help beginnings that are a great guide to help you know where to start. If you are really confident then there is an event called parkrun (again free) where you run with others and such buzz, plus the feeling of being part of the running community.

As a parent you sometimes lose yourself, so it is good to do something for yourself, a bit of ‘me time’ where it is an activity solely for you to enjoy and get something out of.

Running

Hey Readers,

My word of the week is:

RUNNING

This because I had a short break from running due to my mental health problems but have since this week returned to it.

I love running and really missed it, hence why I returned. It is good for me physically and mentally. Even though second week in and I feel a little bit sore, particularly on the old carves, but it is all good. I do love feeling of the ‘burn’ afterwards and feels like I have done something constructive that. Not only all these benefits but it has also helped get ris of frustration which being on the autistic spectrum I acquire a lot in one day alone, haha.

My son has also been running during his PE at school and loves to show  me the position he gets ready for when he has a race. In July will be his first sports day and to say he is excitement is an understatement.

Free ways to get excise

Hey readers,

You don’t have to spend a fortune to do exercise, here are some ways to help do exercise without breaking the bank.

A simply but a beneficial one is going for a walk or a run outside. There are apps such as couch to 5k can help you train to build your ability to run. I think it is really good to use if you’re a beginner at running.

There are football/basketball areas where all you need to do is take a ball, great for taking kids and getting fit.

There is so many exercise videos online and the best bit is that there is a wide section of free videos, so you don’t have to fork out. There are sites such as YouTube or simply googling free exercise videos comes up host of variety of free material for you to user at your leisure.

Another exercise you could do at home is walking up and down your stairs. It is a really good way to have a work out, not to mention the benefit of keeping your heart nice and healthy.

Have a look around locally to where you live as you might find outdoor gyms in the park. They are basically gym equipment that is accessible outside and are free to use. I personally feel it is much better to do exercise outside compared to doing in a hot and sweaty indoor gym.

Another new idea that I have recently come across are things called green gyms. They are free outdoor sessions where you work on practical activities such as planting trees or sowing meadows. Not only do you get a good workout but you also get that feel goodness by giving something back to the community.

You can get some great deals on second bikes and then you can pretty much cycle anywhere. Brilliant way to tone up on the legs and a lot more environmentally friendly.

Walking

Hey readers,

My word of the week is

WALKING 2

This is because the sun has been shinning and the boys have mainly requesting to visit the park. I took advance now as we all know that rain will eventually greet us!

I have been forcing myself out when sometimes like to hide away, because you know people are scary ;)! I digress I have been upping up my walking and pushing myself that little more. We went out as a family for a walk for two three hours and it has been fun. Where we live locally there is a plantasia and a maze world. There is a cute little farm and we even got to see the little baby chicken which was super cute!

In other news I don’t whether it is phase or not but my eldest has really been pushing my buttons the past two weeks. he has proper got an attitude and speaking back. I struggle to keep calm and not get wound up. So I had a couple of times take myself away as I am learning to with new challenge. Patenting never ending challenges that we have to deal with and adapt, joy!
