Hey readers,

My word of the week is:

Because it is the return back to school, nursery and general normality of life. Anyone else struggling with feeling a bit blue, I think it is just a comedown from all the exciting festivities.

Although glad to get some routine back and try and get back to the healthy eating malarkey, which isn’t easy after all the goodies entering my mouth the past couple of weeks.

Also, had to deal with the boys sole for a night while husband was away, jeez hats of to single parents. I am a bad mum, I let my eldest sleep in my bed as he was real struggling with anxiety. I was desperate at this point and in the end sleep wins. However, I got through it and everyone is still alive and well, phew!

Still trying to find suitable places for new toys, that is the biggest challenge of all!

Cheers for reading X

  1. Yep! I’m struggling too…I hate January.
Well done for the solo parenting….
hehehe! I had a big clear out the other day of all my girls old toys. We’re taking them to the charity shop this afternoon….That has helped make room for the one’s they got at Christmas.

  2. Oh yes, I’ve got the January blues, you are not alone. And you are not a bad parent, I let my kids sleep wherever they liked if it meant we got sleep. The good news is, that after doing this their preferred place of sleeping now is always in their own bed 🙂

  3. January is always tough especially after such a glittery, indulgent Christmas, and the chilly, foggy weather really hasn’t helped. As for the new toy mountain, we’re in the same boat. I really do need to find new homes for it all!
I don’t blame you letting your eldest sleep in your bed whilst you were sole parenting. Sometimes, if my little one wakes and comes into our bed, I’m so tired I really don’t have the energy to get up and put him back into his own bed. You’re only human, like the rest of us!
    Have a good week

  4. It has been tough getting back into a routine after Christmas. Well done for being on your own for the night. My husband is the one who has to put our son to bed. We are used to battles here #WotW sorry it’s late x
