London

Hey readers,

My word of the week is:

LODNON

Because though money is tight for us this year we decided to have one good day out to London. Even though the weather was hit and miss we had a wonderful time exploring the city. The only downside is that it is SO big you need a lot time to spend exploring. Which we shall do next year. We did manage to go on the London Eye which my eldesr son has been desperate to do for months. On the eye has amazing views of the city. However, I was a bit squirmish being so high up. I am not good with feeling so high up in a place where something could go wrong, lol!

Later on in the week we went to Clarkes to pick up my sons first pair of school shoes. We are doing it now because I really can’t stomach the queues next week with the rush of desperate parents getting things ready for the new school year!

He loves his new shoes that he picked with flashy lights. He is desperate now to wear them but won’t be long now to September, eek!

Cheers for reading X

  1. So glad that you had a lovely day out in London and that your sons enjoyed going on the London Eye. We’ve got to brave the school shoe shopping trip next week – glad to hear yours went smoothly and that your son likes his new shoes. Hope all goes well with him starting school in September. #WotW

  2. I used to love a day out in London, it does have so many things to see and do. We’ve been shoe shopping too, but then I did think my kids went back to school next week not the week after…or maybe that was just wishful thinking 😉

  3. I think you could spend a week in London and still not see it all. I don’t blame you going shoe shopping early we did the same last weekend nothing worse than queues of irate parents rushing to buy for back to school. #WotW

  4. London is a brilliant day out, though as you say, there’s just so much to see! We’ve taken the kids a couple of times now and we could easily spend all summer down there and still need to go back and do more! Glad you had a great time and the shoes are sorted x Thanks for sharing with #WotW

  5. Days out in London can be exhausting, especially if you try and do too much because there is a LOT of walking to be done! Looks like you had a good day out,
I’m with you, I tried to get in early with the school shoes and got them last week! I can’t believe the summer has gone by so quickly!
    Have a good week
