Burton Dassett Country Park

Hey readers,
As a treat for the boys this week we ventured our to the wonderful Button Dassett Country park in Warwickshire.
It is set in the wonderful countryside with several hills to walk around and explore. It is pretty much free bar the parking. It is definitely one of my eldest sons thing to do. Which is great for us as it is low costing day out and a great one for getting some exercise involved.
We took our thrower with a tennis ball in though we don’t have dogs my son loves playing with it. It has also helped him with his coordination and getting him interesting in throwing. As presently he has quite poor co-ordination and he is not really euthastic with playing with a ball. Also I really enjoying playing with it as well.
Obviously, what springs to mind is how much fun the boys had walking up the hill and then rolling down. Many laughs and happy memories were made from that I can tell you.
My son is really really desperate for a kite but he is still a little young for one so as an inbetween we have a very very long ribbon on a stick. Which was brillant for days like today when it is suitablely windy for it to blow about in the wind. Additionally, it allows my other son to have a go without the complexities of having to worry about a string.
Luckily we have had some glorious sunshine which has made the outing enjoyable. Furthermore to finish it all off we sat on top of the hill to watch the sun go down and see the sunset. Then my son was overjoyed to see the moon which was enormous and red that day. Great end to a great walk.
